Contributor Agreement

Thanks for your interest to our company!

Galart - art gallery established to promote photographers from xUSSR. However, we do not limiting our interests with the borders of these countries. If you are talented photographer, we will be glad to help you to sale your photos and promote your name.

We are selling printed pictures in size 20x30 cm and 30x45 cm. In order to do this, we should have your pictures in TIF or JPEG format files. Please kindly note, that we sale images in files copies only by author approbation.

Galart would like your images meet the following specifications:

• Galart asks contributors to submit images in RGB format. Single-channel grayscale files are acceptable. Profile: Adobe RGB (1998) or sRGB IEC61966-2.1
• All files submitted must be Tiffs or JPEG Level 12. We also accept LZW compression for Tiffs. Bitmap, RAW, STN or PSD files will be rejected. PC byte order, which is a true cross-platform format, and contains all of the original data. If contributors are to submit jpegs, the images must be set at JPEG level 12 (the highest quality setting) prior to saving.
• Bit depth of 8 bits/channel. If scanning images, scan to the highest bit depth possible as this gives better tonal range. Convert to 8 bits/channel before sending the images to us as our upload system automatically reduces any 16-bit files to 8 bit.
• 6 megapixels or near 17 mb is minimum file size. Galart have imposed this minimum requirement to sell to the widest possible market.
• Note for images from digital cameras - We strongly recommend that images are captured on a digital camera capable of producing files upwards 6 megapixels
• Optional IPTC headers or "File Info". If your images have IPTC information embedded in them, Galart will only import the "Caption/Title" and "Keywords" and "Description" IPTC fields - no other IPTC fields will be imported.
• Alphanumeric file names ending in '.tif' or '.jpg'. File names should contain no special characters, but should be named according to your own filing system. This will help you find your images once they are online.

Supplied on CDs or DVDs. Please set the file system to ISO9660 or ISO9660 + Joliet before writing the CD or DVD. Please write DVDs at slow speed; it will take longer, but reduces errors.

Media must be labeled. Clearly write your name and email address on the CD/DVD, using a permanent marker pen such. Do NOT use any stickers or labels.

If it is not possible for you to create the IPTC headers, we kindly request you to create the text file (you may use program Notepad from Windows operational system) with the file name and short description.

Please, use the following example:

• mybestphoto.tif
• Title or Photo name
• Description
• Keywords
• Brief description of the place where photo was made (optional).

We would greatly appreciate if prior to sending us the CD's, you send us the links to your pictures placed on the web pages. In this case, our photo-editors may looks through your photos and select the pictures which we would like to represent in our Galart sales gallery.

Please, be informed that we are the non-exclusive images library and you retain all copyrights on the images supplied to us. Contributors receive between 60% of each sale. All Commissions and Order Processing Fees will be paid by Galart. Commissions that relates to the bank transfers, usually limited up to USD 15-25

We are making wire transfers to our photographers on monthly basis, if Account Balance (net of commissions) is more than US$ 250 of Cleared Funds.

No payments will be made by Galart on account of payments for any taxes levied by or in the territory of your residence. Please, be kindly informed that you are bearing all responsibility for correct calculation of your tax obligations and for transfer of such tax payments to accounts of appropriate authorities.
