Steve Hunziker about himself.
Ive always had this thing for art. When I was growing up it was a
lot of fun, I could make pictures, it was like some kind of magic. In college I
studied, examined and dissected art: photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting,
drawing, illustration, printing, and so on... Somewhere along the way, my
artistic fun began to fade into something called homework. Then after 30 years
of working in the field of graphic art and photography I came dangerously close
to losing the magic.
Magic, thats what art is all about. Its the magic of moving
people, making them think about something touching their heart. But there I
was, sold into the marketplace of commercial art, and keeping track of every
billable hour...how sad. But then, by the grace of God, sweet deliverance came.
Last year my wife took a job as a traveling nurse and weve become what is known
as full-time RVers. Thats right, we get to spend our days traipsing across
these United States and exploring all the many wondrous sights and spectacles it
has to offer.
And yes, once again I have found the magic. I have my Mac, digital
cameras, programs, and many assorted tricks of the trade, and lots and lots of
Gods wonderful creation to play with. My prayer is that God will use this magic
of art, to reveal some part of His eternal truth and touch someones heart with
a message of His eternal beauty and power.
